Job Summary

Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Research Student in Orthopedic Surgery. As a Research Student, you will play a crucial role in supporting our research team by collecting and analyzing clinical data, abstracting information from charts, and providing monthly summaries to our Principle Investigators.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and Collect Clinical Data: You will be responsible for identifying specific clinical data needed for collection and ensuring that it is accurately and efficiently collected.
  • Abstract Clinical Information: You will abstract clinical information from charts and ensure that it is accurately and thoroughly documented.
  • Provide Monthly Summaries: You will provide monthly summaries of data to our Principle Investigators, ensuring that they have the information they need to make informed decisions.
  • Maintain Positive Working Relationships: You will maintain positive working relationships with our research team and other members of the department, ensuring that we are working together effectively to achieve our goals.
  • Perform Other Research Duties: You will perform other research-related duties as required, including data entry, data analysis, and report preparation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: You must have a Bachelor's Degree in a related field, such as healthcare, biology, or chemistry.
  • Knowledge of Data Collection: You must have knowledge of data collection methods and techniques, including data abstraction and data analysis.
  • Microsoft Office Applications: You must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Attention to Detail: You must have excellent attention to detail and be able to accurately and thoroughly collect and analyze data.
