Position Overview

The Quality Analyst will be responsible for scheduling and executing virology assays to support manufacturing processes, product release, and compliance/stability studies, adhering to GLP, QO, and Regulatory protocols.

Work Schedule: 1st shift. Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Key Responsibilities

The job level will be determined based on previous experience. Under supervision, the Quality Analyst will:
  • Conduct routine laboratory procedures using aseptic techniques, ensuring compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standard Test Procedures.
  • Maintain testing reagents and supplies.
  • Assist in performing assigned laboratory tests.
  • Apply current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) to all tasks.
  • Review documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Compile and report laboratory test outcomes.
  • Assist in laboratory investigations.
  • Notify supervisory personnel of known or suspected quality issues.
  • Initiate maintenance work orders as necessary.
  • Engage in Continuous Improvement Projects (CIP).
  • Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures, including Safety, SOPs, and cGMPs.
  • Learn and comply with regulatory requirements such as USDA, FDA, and EU standards.
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform assigned tasks safely.
  • Recognize potential safety hazards.
  • Verify and validate data entry in Laboratory Information Management Systems.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving for routine tests and processes.
  • Exhibit technical awareness using data, sound judgment, and experience.
  • Communicate effectively across departments, shifts, and with colleagues.
Education and Experience Requirements

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in biological sciences or chemistry.
  • One to two years of relevant experience.
Preferred:
  • Experience with mammalian cell culture and basic virology techniques.
  • Proficiency in using Windows-based applications.
Technical Skills and Competencies

Required:
  • Fundamental knowledge of virology and microbiology techniques, aseptic techniques, and strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
Preferred:
  • Experience with Mammalian Cell Culture and Viral Assays, as well as GLP documentation.
Physical Requirements
  • Manual dexterity with hands and fingers.
  • Specific vision abilities required for close vision tasks.
  • Occasional need to sit and reach with hands and arms.
