Job Title: Customer Quality Engineer

At Lincoln Industries, we are seeking a highly skilled Customer Quality Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Influence peers and leaders to achieve acceptable customer quality levels through pre and post product launch interaction with Sales and Integration, daily interaction with Customer Service and Operations addressing customer quality issues, and participation in reviews for manufacturability and design.
  • Develop working relationships with external customer counterparts to drive customer satisfaction and quality improvement.
  • Travel up to 20% to improve customer experience and resolve quality issues.
  • Coordinate with Account Management, Customer Service, Supplier Quality, Operations, and Integration to resolve customer complaints and concerns, verify effectiveness of corrective actions, and monitor performance against customer quality metrics.
  • Take preventive action as necessary to prevent issues, using engineering principles and statistical techniques.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer to Lincoln Industries, conveying expectations and actual performance against those expectations.
  • Provide engineering support to Integration Engineering and Strategic Accounts for new product launches, participate in the development and submission of PPAP documents, and execute designed experiments to derive inferences.
  • Collaborate with Process Control, Operations, and Integration Engineering to analyze problem areas and processes, identify and implement improvements, and ensure consistent application of quality techniques.
  • Execute duties in a proactive versus reactive manner, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001/IATF 16949, and may be responsible for ensuring proper disposal of waste.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4 to 6 years of experience in a quality-related field, with a technical aptitude to analyze defects and problem-solve driving to root cause.
  • Ability to read engineering prints, intermediate knowledge in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and Green Belt certification with the ability to use Minitab.
  • Experience working in customer service, ability to solve moderate to complex problems with supervision, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and comprehend the English language, communicate clearly with suppliers, and present information effectively to groups of managers, customers, suppliers, or internal stakeholders.
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to perform physical functions equivalent to Category E.
