PET/CT Technologist Job Description

Shields Health Care Group is seeking a skilled PET/CT Technologist to join our team. As a PET/CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate PET equipment to produce high-quality images and measure concentrations of radioactive isotopes.
  • Position patients accurately and ensure their comfort during exams.
  • Follow all Shields Health Care Group policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses.
  • Perform hot lab responsibilities and maintain accurate records.
Requirements:
  • State license for the state(s) in which you are employed to work.
  • Certification in CPR.
  • Registration by the ARRT and/or NMTCB.
  • A minimum of one year prior nuclear medicine experience.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit and utilize a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to assist patients with mobility difficulties.
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.
Internal/External Interactions:

Extensive interactions with all customer groups, including patients, families, referring community, and other SHC employees.
