Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Purchasing Specialist to support our procurement operations. This key role involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Main Responsibilities:- Sourcing & Procurement: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, and reliability. Request quotes and negotiate contracts to secure the best possible terms.
- Issue and track Purchase Orders (POs) for both domestic and international stock products. Manage vendor relationships to drive continuous improvements in quality, delivery, and price.
- Collaborate with suppliers to manage orders, timelines, and resolve procurement discrepancies.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure timely replenishment of stock and avoid overstock situations. Coordinate with supply chain and production teams for accurate forecasting and demand planning.
- Assist with quality control, inventory receipts, and the calculation of landed costs for goods.
- Develop and maintain purchasing calendars and ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
- Negotiate, review, and manage purchase contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
- Track and manage key contract terms, such as expiration dates, renewals, and performance metrics.
- Ensure all purchasing activities meet company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
- Analyze spending patterns and trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to develop and manage purchasing budgets.
- Proactively pursue cost-saving initiatives through strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, with 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a quarterly bonus program.
