Job SummaryWe're seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer Traffic/Operations Analysis to join our traffic engineering group in the LA region. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for providing planning and analysis for traffic operations and emerging technology system planning. Your expertise will be invaluable in developing and implementing traffic analysis and simulation models, as well as providing technical guidance on traffic operations and management.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement traffic analysis and simulation models using advanced software tools such as Highway Capacity Software, Synchro/SimTraffic, AIMSUN, and VISSIM.
- Provide technical guidance on traffic operations and management, including traffic signal timing, ramp metering, and lane closure queuing analysis.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement traffic management plans and strategies.
- Conduct traffic impact studies and analyze traffic data to inform transportation planning and design decisions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and community groups to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil and Transportation Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in traffic analysis, operations, and traffic engineering.
- Hands-on experience with Highway Capacity Software, Synchro/SimTraffic, AIMSUN, and VISSIM.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
