Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Housekeeping Assistant is to execute assigned cleaning duties as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor. This role encompasses a variety of tasks including mopping, sweeping, dusting, window washing, carpet shampooing, and vacuuming, as well as arranging furniture and maintaining cleanliness of all areas.

Qualifications:
Prior experience in institutional cleaning or maintenance is advantageous. Familiarity with floor-care equipment is beneficial. Candidates must possess the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of patient rooms, restrooms, and communal spaces in line with facility standards.
- Utilize appropriate cleaning agents in correct proportions.
- Conduct dust mopping, wet mopping, or spot mopping of floors as required.
- Empty waste receptacles, replace liners as necessary, and dispose of waste correctly.
- Vacuum carpets as instructed by the Supervisor.
- Employ suitable chemicals and tools for window cleaning.
- Report maintenance needs to the Supervisor or maintenance team as necessary.
- Request supplies and equipment from the Supervisor as needed.
- Identify and rectify safety hazards while adhering to safety protocols.

All staff members are expected to be familiar with Cantex Continuing Care Network's policies and procedures regarding abuse prevention and understand their role in enforcement. Participation in weekly training sessions is required, along with compliance with Patient Care Management Systems.
