Employment Opportunity

As an Unarmed Security Officer, you will be an essential member of a security team that supports critical facilities and infrastructure, as well as public venues requiring a heightened security presence and asset protection services. This role is vital to the diverse range of specialized security services that Inter-Con offers its clients daily.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Security Officer oversees various posts (customer counters, employee entrances, vehicle access points, guard houses, gates, construction entrances, parking lots, perimeters, etc.)
  • Conducts regular patrols, either on foot or by vehicle, around perimeter fences, gates, buildings, warehouses, storage areas, and switchyards.
  • Identifies fire hazards, unauthorized activities, malfunctioning utilities, and hazardous conditions.
  • Performs additional duties related to the security of premises as necessary.
  • May be required to undertake emergency duties that necessitate physical exertion, such as standing or walking for extended periods, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs., and running.

Qualifications:

  • Reliable transportation is essential.
  • Must be physically capable of performing assigned tasks.
  • Must meet all applicable licensing, registration, and certification requirements in the state where the officer's assigned facility is located.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.

Education & Experience:

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.

Licensing, Permits & Certifications:

  • Security Guard Registration Card is necessary.
