Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons and other medical professionals in the Operating Room by providing basic instrumentation and sterile techniques for procedures.
- Provide patient care in the clinical setting, ensuring the highest level of comfort and safety for our patients.
- Maintain and care for basic surgical equipment and instrumentation, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical terminology, disease processes, and computer programs used in perioperative services.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; graduate of a surgical technologist program necessary.
- Certification from NBSTSA, NCCT, or AST within 1 year of hire/transfer.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Strong working knowledge of patient care and basic human needs throughout the life span.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
