Position Summary:
As a Junior Equipment Technician, you will engage in the maintenance and repair of various construction machinery, including trucks, trailers, batch plants, paving machines, bulldozers, and engines. This role provides an opportunity to delve into the mechanics of each piece of equipment, honing your expertise and expanding your skill set by working with diverse machinery daily.

Compensation: $20 - $23 /hr. DOE

- Diagnose issues and perform cost-effective, durable repairs.
- Dismantle equipment to access and replace defective components using hand tools and hoists.
- Maintain and repair heavy machinery, trucks, and stationary equipment across the organization.
- Service vehicles and equipment, including oil changes, greasing, fluid additions, and filter changes, while adhering to preventative maintenance schedules.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel and gasoline engines, transmissions, and drive trains.
- Order necessary parts and supplies.
- Assist in maintaining purchase orders and invoices.
- Utilize computer systems for job-related tasks.
- Repair or replace faulty components.
- Install specialized functional and structural parts in machinery.
- Conduct performance tests on equipment.
- Weld broken components and structural parts.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Collaborate with team members across various production areas.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to meet business needs.
- Safely operate equipment within its designated parameters.
- Proactively address potential hazards or obstructions.
- Ensure regular and punctual attendance.
- Foster an inclusive work environment.
To excel in this role, candidates must effectively perform all essential duties.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and maintenance manuals.
- Capability to troubleshoot machinery.
- Basic computer proficiency; ability to accurately type and use keyboards.
- Must pass pre-employment physical examination and drug testing.
- Safety-conscious individual with a record of good performance, attendance, and punctuality.
- Willingness to work overtime and on weekends/holidays as required.
- Ability to comply with OSHA, MSHA, DOT, and other relevant regulations.
- Must possess current US work authorization or the ability to obtain it independently prior to starting.
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not mandatory.
- Current CDL or the ability to obtain one is preferred.

- Ability to lift and/or move up to 20-75 lbs. as needed.
