The Nurse-Resident role is a dynamic opportunity for new graduate nurses to develop their skills and knowledge in a supportive and collaborative environment. As a Nurse-Resident, you will participate in a comprehensive residency program that combines clinical core curriculum, quality classes, simulation, and hands-on application with clinical mentors.
Key Responsibilities- Collect patient data and complete required forms with appropriate responses according to unit standards.
- Identify patient's problems/needs and set priorities.
- Develop a plan of care based on nursing process and which incorporates the plans of other disciplines and continuing care needs.
- Implement and manage care provided, ensuring it conforms to accepted practice standards.
- Evaluate patient care measures instituted and make recommendations for improvement.
- Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing program approved by the South Carolina State Board of Nursing required.
- Licensed to practice as a RN in South Carolina.
- Temporary license/Graduate Nurse licensure may be accepted upon receipt of diploma, authorization to test, and NCLEX testing date.
