Prisma Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Residency Program Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for coordinating the Nurse Residency Program, ensuring a smooth transition for new graduate nurses into the clinical environment. Your expertise and passion for nursing will make a significant impact on the lives of our patients and their families.
Responsibilities- Coordinate the Nurse Residency Program, including planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clinical preceptors, nurse educators, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide guidance and support to new graduate nurses, ensuring a successful transition into the clinical environment.
- Collaborate with the clinical education team to develop and implement educational programs for new graduate nurses.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the Nurse Residency Program, making recommendations for improvement.
- Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing program approved by the South Carolina State Board of Nursing required.
- Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
- No previous experience is required.
- Candidates with greater than 12 months of experience are not eligible.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
- Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a nurse residency program.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
