Job Overview

The Hotel Maintenance Attendant at SpringHill Suites Cheraw plays a crucial role in upholding the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of the hotel's communal spaces, guest accommodations, and operational areas.


Position Summary:

This full-time, hourly role is situated within the hospitality sector. The individual will work autonomously to uphold the high standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the hotel, ensuring a welcoming and pleasant environment for all guests.


Compensation & Benefits:

This position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $11 to $13, with biweekly payments. Employees at SpringHill Suites Cheraw are also entitled to a comprehensive benefits package, which includes health insurance, paid time off, and discounts at Marriott properties.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and clean guest rooms, which includes making beds, dusting surfaces, and sanitizing bathrooms to provide a comfortable experience for guests.
  • Ensure all public areas of the hotel, such as the lobby, hallways, and restrooms, are kept clean and inviting.
  • Keep all back-of-house areas, including storage and laundry rooms, organized and tidy.
  • Restock and arrange housekeeping carts and closets to facilitate efficient room cleaning.
  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries and concerns, ensuring their needs are addressed and any issues are resolved swiftly.
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of meeting and banquet spaces for various events.
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation protocols to maintain a secure and clean environment for both guests and staff.
  • Monitor inventory levels of housekeeping supplies and inform management when replenishment is necessary.
  • Follow brand standards and hotel policies consistently.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or a janitorial role is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal oversight.
  • Strong attention to detail and capability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks such as prolonged standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Understanding of safety and sanitation standards.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to various cleaning techniques and products.
