Admissions Director

The Admissions Director is a key member of the Farmington Opco LLC team, responsible for managing the facility inquiry and admission process. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to effectively manage relationships with referral sources, residents, and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to inquiries from hospital discharge planners, families, and other referral sources in a professional and timely manner.
- Manage the admission process by maintaining updated bed availability and facility services information.
- Conduct facility tours and effectively manage occupancy levels and census/premium mix enhancement.
- Maintain a close working relationship with the Director of Nursing (DNS) and the Business Office Manager (BOM) to ensure efficient decisions about prospective admissions.
- Input daily referral source and admission data into the automated referral system.
- Coordinate the development and implementation of admission plans, and serve as chairperson for weekly Census Development meetings.
- Maintain a working knowledge of Federal and State regulations and reimbursement guidelines (Medicare and Medicaid), and assist with managed care referral process.
- Develop and implement special events and presentations targeted at community education, establishing and maintaining status for the facility as the expert on skilled nursing, specialty programs, and rehabilitation care in the community.
- Monitor and evaluate customer satisfaction with current and former patients, their families, and referral sources, and share results with the management team and others as appropriate to develop action plans as needed.
- Supervise Admission's staff.
- Associate and/or bachelor's degree in business/communications field preferred.
- Two years equivalent experience in the Long-Term Care Industry in lieu of degree.
- Previous healthcare admissions/community relations experience preferred.
- RN Preferred.
- Two years of experience in a Long-Term Care admissions or community education position.
- Background in community education preferred.
