Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our team as an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Virginia. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to musculoskeletal research and a proven track record of clinical expertise in the management of orthopaedic hip pathology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient care in the management of orthopaedic hip pathology
  • Conduct quality basic scientific or clinical research
  • Develop and implement a hip preservation practice to span children to adulthood
  • Collaborate with the hip arthroscopists to build a robust hip preservation practice for teenagers and young adults
  • Perform surgery in both the in-patient and the out-patient areas of the UVA Health System
Requirements
  • MD degree and board-eligible or board-certified
  • Fellowship training in the sub-specialty of pediatric orthopaedic surgery with a special interest and demonstrable training in hip preservation
  • Evidence of academic productivity
  • Licensure to practice medicine in the State of Virginia
