Kaiser Permanente is in search of a Licensed Speech Therapist to provide exceptional care in the field of communication and swallowing disorders.

Position Overview

The Speech Therapist will be responsible for delivering direct patient care, focusing on the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of individuals with various communication challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to Kaiser Permanente's policies and relevant regulations.
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments and offer tailored treatment plans for both adults and children facing communication and swallowing difficulties.
  • Collaborate with medical professionals to communicate test outcomes and recommend appropriate therapeutic interventions.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary team consultations and provide expertise in specialized areas such as pediatric speech therapy and brain injury rehabilitation.
  • Mentor Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Develop and implement innovative treatment protocols and educational programs in your area of expertise.
  • Perform comprehensive clinical evaluations and document patient progress meticulously.
  • Adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimize patient outcomes and address evolving needs.
  • Deliver in-service training to healthcare staff on fundamental speech therapy concepts.
  • Maintain professional development by attending relevant workshops and seminars.
Qualifications:Experience:
  • At least one year of clinical experience in dysphagia management.
  • A minimum of one year of clinical experience in Speech Pathology.
Education:
  • Master's or Doctorate Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Licensure:
  • Current California Speech Pathologist license.
  • American Heart Association approved BLS certification.
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI) is required.
Additional Skills:
  • Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to speech therapy.
  • Proficient in applying speech therapy theories and techniques.
