We are seeking Automotive Service Manager Trainees/General Service Technicians to fulfill a versatile role in both the front and back shop. This position serves as a developmental opportunity for future Store Managers, while primarily engaging in oil changes and basic services, alongside training to manage phone inquiries, schedule appointments, and interact with customers. Midas is dedicated to the professional growth of our associates and promotes from within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
As an Automotive Service Manager Trainee/General Service Technician at Midas, you will act as the essential support for the Store Manager, working in both the front and back shop as required. Your duties will encompass:
  • Providing outstanding customer service while actively listening to and advising customers
  • Following up with customers regarding services requested and estimated completion times
  • Conducting thorough vehicle inspections and making detailed recommendations—creating computerized repair orders and sourcing necessary parts
  • Communicating pricing estimates to customers and promoting shop service specials
  • Leading, managing, and training team members while aligning with our company’s vision, purpose, core values, and employee creed
  • Supervising a team of up to ten employees
  • Overseeing technicians' inspections, diagnosing, and repairing various vehicles
  • Maintaining accurate inventory counts
  • Ensuring overall cleanliness and organization of the facility
  • Performing oil changes, tire rotations, and basic technician tasks
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
  • Preferred minimum of 2 years of experience in a store or service management role
  • General automotive knowledge
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong communication abilities
  • Leadership and team-building skills
  • Ability to follow directions and established processes
  • Proficiency in using computers and software
  • Flexibility to work a retail schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Valid driver's license
