Job Summary

Volt is seeking a highly skilled Logistics Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing logistics support, including order entry, routing and dispatching, and traffic coordination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide logistics support to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods and services.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer profile information and enter loads from customer tenders into the Freight Optimizer system.
  • Communicate with account managers to update them on problem loads and the actions taken.
  • Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries to ensure that loads arrive on time and in good condition.
  • Verify load data prior to marking loads delivered for accounting purposes.
  • Investigate product overages, shortages, damages, and complete appropriate documentation.
  • Schedule and reschedule delivery appointments for all loads, and accept or decline loads based on direction from account managers.
  • Provide detailed directions and instructions to properly route drivers.
Requirements
  • 1 year of logistics experience.
  • General knowledge of the transportation industry.
  • Experience writing routine reports and correspondence.
  • High school Diploma/ GED is desired.
What We Offer

Volt offers a competitive pay rate, with a range of $20.50/hour. The pay rate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
