We are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide psychiatric consultation to inpatients at Maine Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have a comfort working with patients with substance use disorders and provide face-to-face psychiatric evaluations and medication recommendations to patients on medical/surgical units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide psychiatric consultation to inpatients at Maine Medical Center
  • Conduct face-to-face psychiatric evaluations and medication recommendations to patients on medical/surgical units
  • Work effectively in a hospital-based setting, managing acute clinical scenarios and multitasking

Requirements:

  • Master's degree with advanced knowledge of nursing and/or medical theory and practice
  • Current license issued by the State of Maine or eligible for licensure
  • Current BLS certification
  • 2+ years of patient care in ambulatory mental health or hospital
