Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner position is a key member of the integrated care team within the Family Medicine department at Oregon Health & Science University.
This role involves delivering high-quality, evidence-based psychiatric care to patients across the lifespan, with a focus on complex social needs and severe mental illness.
Key Responsibilities- Provide integrated psychiatric care as part of a patient-centered medical home team, including care team consultation, collaborative care planning, and psychiatric medication management.
- Conduct lifespan psychiatric assessments and management for patients with varying levels of acuity, including those with severe mental illness and complex social needs.
- Utilize evidence-based practices, including screening and diagnostic tools, clinical interventions, laboratory tests, and monitoring for adverse effects of medications and interactions.
- Participate in crisis assessment and intervention in collaboration with the integrated care team.
- Engage in academic and professional development to address emerging clinical needs among the patient population.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with patients, care team members, and internal and community partners.
- Active PMHNP licensure in the state of Oregon.
- Advanced degree in Nursing and completion of specialty in PMHNP.
- Active DEA certification.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered, team-based healthcare and trauma-informed practice.
- 2+ years of PMHNP experience in a safety net setting, such as a FQHC, Rural Health Center, or Community Mental Health.
