Job Summary

The 2nd Shift Floor Supervisor is responsible for supervising and assisting in the planning, implementing, and coordinating daily operations, production, and shipping for clients and customers; ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations, safety, on-time delivery, and quality to meet expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the facility is locked up and secured at the end of each shift.
  • Supervise the day-to-day production operations teams, and ensure health, safety, and security compliance.
  • Assist and track performance-based requirements determined by our customers, Area Production Managers, and the Operations Manager, including organizing and scheduling work assignments, processes, material needs, resolving problems, monitoring progress, meeting deadlines, and reporting results.
  • Organize, prioritize, and assign daily orders, ensuring on-time and accurate shipping.
  • Communicate any problems with product inventory to the Area Production Manager and Inventory Control Specialist that may result in orders not shipping on deadline.
  • Supervise work for the teams and individuals to ensure maximum productivity.
  • Monitor the completion of necessary production and quality control documentation.
  • Supervise teams to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Act as a representative of management in meetings and communication with clients.
  • Monitor and track teams' time and attendance. Coach and correct staff requiring improvements. Coordinate with HR on corrective actions as needed.
  • Assist HR in interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, and mentoring the staff.
  • Mediate disputes to promote amicable and cooperative relationships among staff.
  • Learn all systems to supervise appropriate employee training and prioritization with IT and Operations for efficiency improvements.
  • Conduct daily meetings with teams to present metrics, work assignments, planning, and company communications.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through production manifests and product put away. Supervise the team to follow all processes.
  • Order monthly shipping and client-specific materials to ensure stock is on hand to fulfill orders. Order supplies to maximize costs, without excessive inventory.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a warehouse or production environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing lead or supervisory role.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
  • Experience and competence with MS Office Products including Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to use a pallet jack and other basic warehouse equipment.

  • Ability to work independently and team-orientated, able to work with diverse individuals within and outside the TIG/Exodus Organizations.
