Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled HPGe Laboratory Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine laboratory tasks and research in a crystal growing lab.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct mechanical, electrical, chemical, and crystallographic analysis using various lab equipment
  • Prepare, analyze, and machine samples following established practices
  • Maintain routine calibrations and operate laboratory equipment; assist with troubleshooting as needed
  • Keep lab equipment, supplies, and work areas clean and organized
  • Dispose of samples, waste, and broken glassware following strict safety procedures
  • Prioritize samples, plan work sequence, communicate status/results to supervisor
  • Comply with all applicable safety and health rules; complete required documentation accurately

Requirements:

  • General working knowledge of laboratory instruments and equipment
  • Basic computer operations including spreadsheets, word processing, email
  • Familiar with safety and health policies and programs
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. on occasion
  • Willingness to work with mineral acids and solvents safely
  • Ability to stand for most of shift
  • Good reading, language, and mathematical skills
  • Manual dexterity

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma (Associates degree preferred)

Pay Details: $20.00 to $30.00 per hour
