Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Cloud Architect to lead our engineering team in optimizing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's cloud-based systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for deploying and debugging systems, executing new cloud initiatives, and developing strategic plans to introduce or improve cloud best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical, administrative, and operational leadership for the team.
  • Supervise assigned staff, including subordinate team members.
  • Experience with DevOps best practice and promoting the DevOps culture.
  • Expertise with AWS cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Participate in the development of technical project plans, proposals, reports, and administrative reporting.
  • May also perform high-level technical services on assigned tasks.
  • Conduct planning and provide recommendations to clients on task workload.
  • Attend customer meetings and may serve as primary client liaison.
  • Interact with vendors, other agencies, and other client staff on behalf of the client.
  • Coordinate and assist with timely implementation of all SDLC activities.
  • Ensure quality assurance of project deliverables.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
  • Effective communicator able to prioritize and account for project tasks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
  • 20+ years of related experience.
  • Required Technical Skills:
    • Provides technical, administrative, and operational leadership for the team.

  • Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI with Poly.
  • Location: Herndon, VA - client site.
