About the Department: The Enrollment Services Division collaborates with the community to enhance student recruitment and retention through strategic enrollment initiatives. This division oversees the admissions process, provides financial aid services, and manages a centralized student services resource, all aimed at achieving institutional enrollment objectives while prioritizing the student and family experience.

About the Position: The Enrollment Services Advisor plays a crucial role in attracting new undergraduate students by organizing and executing recruitment initiatives in designated areas. This position involves reviewing applicant submissions and making informed admission decisions. The advisor will also serve as the primary contact for prospective students and families, addressing inquiries and conducting informative sessions on academic offerings and campus life.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct recruitment activities to attract new undergraduate students;
  • Engage with schools and community colleges through visits;
  • Meet with prospective students and their families to provide guidance;
  • Deliver presentations that showcase the institution's offerings;
  • Coordinate high school visits and participate in college fairs;
  • Manage university resources responsibly;
  • Follow up with prospective students and applicants encountered during recruitment;
  • Stay informed on institutional policies and relevant information;
  • Review applicant files and make admission decisions based on established criteria;
  • Handle a caseload of approximately 3,000 freshman applications;
  • Support the review of transfer and non-degree applicants as necessary;
  • Actively participate in the admissions committee;
  • Serve as the on-call advisor for walk-in inquiries from prospective students and families;
  • Conduct information sessions for prospective students and families on academics and application processes;
  • Participate in admissions events and assist with logistics;
  • Contribute to marketing initiatives in collaboration with relevant offices;
  • Review and edit content related to prospective and admitted undergraduate students.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience;
  • Proven customer service skills;
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities;
  • Public speaking skills for diverse group settings;
  • Analytical thinking capabilities;
  • Proficiency in computer applications and a willingness to learn new software;
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations;
  • Capability to manage sensitive information with discretion;
  • Strong organizational skills in a deadline-driven environment;
  • Attention to detail in all tasks;
  • Team-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in an office environment;
