The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Machining Operations and be able to create and implement work plans that meet company and project objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the daily planning and implementation of work assigned to the machine and repair shop
- Select, train, and discipline employees as needed
- Ensure work is appropriately assigned, equipment and materials are sourced, and all relevant safety regulations are met
- Develop and implement work plans that meet company and project objectives
- Manage and maintain a safe and efficient work environment
- Extensive experience in machining operations, including large and complex components, turning, milling, and assembly
- Estimating experience and strong technical knowledge of machining processes
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and machine tooling knowledge for aluminum, stainless, and carbon steel
- Decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances
- CAD/3D modeling experience
- Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and NQA-1 quality standards
- Lean manufacturing principles and experience with scheduling and KPI development
- CNC programming knowledge and fixture design for machining and assembly
- Team leadership and training experience
