Role Responsibilities:
The Adult Therapist will engage in therapeutic practices with adults and their families, addressing a diverse array of challenges stemming from various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Responsibilities will encompass assessment, evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and case management, alongside maintaining up-to-date client records.
Key Duties Include:
- Conducting psychotherapy aimed at assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of adults and their families, tailoring services to meet individual needs while utilizing community resources as necessary.
- Committing to a minimum of 40 hours of work weekly, with an expectation of delivering 30 hours of therapeutic services. Case management support will be provided as required, with some evening hours expected.
- Operating independently and responsibly, while contributing to the development, implementation, and evaluation of treatment and prevention initiatives.
- Producing comprehensive, timely, and high-quality clinical documentation for all services provided, ensuring sufficient detail regarding client engagement and responses.
- Maintaining quality service delivery in clinical care and associated responsibilities, employing Best Practice therapeutic methods whenever feasible. Client records must be kept current in accordance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.
- Actively participating in regular supervision sessions, welcoming constructive feedback in a collaborative manner.
- Engaging positively with the clinical team, support staff, and administrative personnel.
- Attending all scheduled administrative, in-service, and staff meetings, and suggesting improvements for service delivery.
- Coordinating communication with other agency departments to ensure continuity of care.
- Participating in committees and work groups as requested, and providing guidance and training for interns and colleagues.
- Building and sustaining effective relationships with state, community, and contracting organizations, as well as collaborative partners.
Qualifications:
- A Master's Degree in a behavioral health field is required.
- Licensure through AzBBHE is preferred.
- Experience in community behavioral health with adults is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Availability for some evening hours is necessary.
- Organizational skills and reliability are essential.
- Knowledge of community resources, trauma-informed care, and the ability to customize treatment approaches are crucial.
- Experience in trauma therapy is preferred.
- Possession of a Fingerprint clearance card or eligibility to obtain one is required.
- A valid Arizona driver's license with no major infractions in the past three years is necessary.
- Regular access to reliable transportation is required.
- Bi-lingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred, with a language differential available.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age at the time of employment.

- Ability to remain composed in crisis situations, working both independently and collaboratively, while demonstrating empathy towards all individuals.
- Upholding professional conduct in alignment with ethical practices and agency policies.
- Maintaining a professional demeanor and fostering positive relationships with team members, stakeholders, and community partners.
- For those driving on agency business, a valid Arizona driver's license and appropriate liability insurance are required.
- All employees providing direct client services must be at least 21 years old, while those in support roles must be at least 18 years old, with a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
