The successful candidate will possess a solid understanding of administrative procedures, principles of social services, and the capability to assess and address client needs. Building strong relationships within the community, maintaining precise client documentation, and demonstrating effective problem-solving abilities are crucial for this role.
Core duties include:
- Collaborating with program personnel to evaluate volunteer requirements.
- Establishing protocols for volunteer engagement.
- Drafting detailed volunteer role descriptions.
- Recruiting and onboarding volunteers.
- Coordinating essential training for volunteers.
- Managing a comprehensive volunteer database.
- Organizing appreciation events for volunteers.
- Fostering partnerships with various organizations to advocate for Salvation Army initiatives.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline, complemented by a minimum of two years of supervisory experience or equivalent qualifications. Additionally, certification or training in volunteer management and possession of a valid driver’s license are required.
