Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and empathetic Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team as a Dispensing Nurse. The successful candidate will work in partnership with Physicians and Nursing Supervisors to dispense prescribed medications to patients in a treatment setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer daily medication to patients in accordance with program policy and medical protocols.
  • Maintain dispensing equipment, manage medication inventory, and report patient treatment information.
  • Collaborate with supervisory counseling staff to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards for the distribution and storage of controlled substances.
  • Order, receive, and stock medication in accordance with DEA and State regulations.
  • Provide daily assessments of patients and assist with their treatment plans.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on best practices in medication management.

Requirements:

  • Current and good standing LPN license in the State of New Mexico.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • EMR and computer proficiency desired.
  • Experience in chemical dependency preferred.
  • Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
