We are seeking a detail-oriented and empathetic Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Recovery Services of New Mexico. As a Dispensing Nurse, you will play a crucial role in dispensing prescribed medications to patients in a treatment setting.
Key Responsibilities- Administer daily medication to patients in accordance with program policy and medical protocols.
- Use automated dispensing systems, calibrate pumps, and maintain dispensing equipment.
- Produce and maintain accurate records and reports as required by company protocol, federal and state regulations.
- Ensure compliance with security standards for the distribution and storage of controlled substances.
- Order, receive, and stock medication in accordance with DEA and state regulations.
- Provide daily assessments of patients and assist in orienting new nursing staff.
- Perform other related duties as determined by the supervisor.
- Current and good standing LPN license in the State of New Mexico.
- Current CPR certification required.
- EMR and computer proficiency desired.
- Experience in chemical dependency preferred.
- Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
