About the Position

The University of Iowa is seeking an experienced Support Services Coordinator to join our care coordination division. As a member of our team, you will provide prescription support services to patients and ensure effective delivery of healthcare.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Implement Care Plans: Develop and implement plans of care responsive to patient/family concerns, health care status, available resources, and age-specific problems.
  2. Triage and Resolve Issues: Conduct daily triaging of program referrals and perform social work financial assessments with patient and/or family involvement.
  3. Provide Benefit Assistance: Develop benefit assistance plans with patients and/or families that reflect identified problems and incorporate age-related issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience in clinical social work or pharmacy-related experience.
  • Certification as a Pharmacy Support Person by the Iowa Pharmacy Board.
  • Experience with computer software applications (Microsoft Office Suite) and strong attention to detail.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive fringe benefit package, including paid vacation, sick leave, health, dental, life, and disability insurance options, and generous employer contributions into retirement plans.

Educational Requirements: Completion of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience Requirements: Previous experience in clinical social work or pharmacy-related experience. Certification as a Pharmacy Support Person by the Iowa Pharmacy Board. Experience with computer software applications (Microsoft Office Suite) and strong attention to detail.
