SUMMARY

The Quality Engineer at Kimber Mfg., Inc. plays an essential role within the manufacturing team, tasked with the development and oversight of programs, processes, and metrics that bolster the Quality Assurance framework. This position collaborates closely with various departments to ensure the achievement of quality objectives established by senior management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate Quality Assurance initiatives
  • Assist in the creation of a supplier evaluation system
  • Perform statistical analysis on quality metrics and propose improvements
  • Establish a Statistical Process Control environment
  • Engage in continuous improvement efforts
  • Conduct internal ISO compliance audits
  • Generate reports and analytical assessments
  • Design control plans and inspection protocols
  • Educate CNC staff on inspection methodologies
  • Participate in Material Review Board sessions
  • Execute additional tasks as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma and ISO standards
  • Strong skills in project management
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Minitab

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Required: High School Diploma or G.E.D

Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Quality, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to comprehend and interpret quality performance reports. Strong presentation capabilities.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to engage with mathematical concepts and apply them to real-world scenarios.

REASONING ABILITY

Skilled in identifying problems, gathering data, and deriving valid conclusions.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and other Office applications.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Occasional travel may be necessary.

OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES

Consistent attendance and teamwork are critical. Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Moderate noise levels and exposure to a manufacturing setting.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Close vision is necessary.

WORK AUTHORIZATION

Must adhere to ITAR regulations.
