About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Low Observable Materials Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our mechanical design team, you will be responsible for developing and integrating advanced materials and technologies to support our Low Observable (LO) weapon systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and characterize advanced materials and processes for LO applications
  • Integrate materials and technologies into deliverable products
  • Perform material measurements and generate predicted material performance using Computational Electromagnetic Codes (CEM) tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate advanced signature control techniques into products
  • Lead and participate in program reviews and project management
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • 10 years of Low Observables or Radar materials engineering experience, or 7 years with related experience and an advanced degree
  • Experience in material characterization, performance testing, and/or design
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • High temperature LO materials characterization, testing, and integration experience
  • Experience with intrinsic property analytical techniques for electromagnetic characterization of materials
  • Agile communication and project management skills
