Position Overview:
As a Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will play a crucial role in the production of high-precision assemblies within a reputable Aerospace and Defence organization. This position focuses on the assembly of safety-critical components, ensuring that all products meet stringent quality standards.

Main Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be engaged in a traditional mechanical assembly setting, where your tasks will include:

  • Utilizing kits of parts, hand tools, and various equipment to construct assemblies.
  • Conducting inspections and tests on components and sub-assemblies to ensure compliance with required tolerances and technical specifications.
  • Adhering to production job cards to apply appropriate assembly techniques, ensuring that:
    • All processes align with company protocols.
    • Quality standards are consistently met.
    • Productivity levels are maintained to enhance departmental effectiveness and efficiency.

Qualifications:
To be considered for the Mechanical Assembly Technician position, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Production, Manufacturing, or Assembly role, particularly in the assembly of complex systems, or;
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, with a solid understanding of complex systems.

While an NVQ level 2 qualification is preferred, it is not mandatory.
