Overview

Community Medical Services is seeking a dedicated Substance Abuse Counselor to provide essential support to individuals recovering from addiction to opioids and other illicit substances.

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those struggling with substance use disorders.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to facilitate recovery and provide coping strategies.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and provide a holistic approach to treatment.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough client records, adhering to confidentiality and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices and new developments in the field.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or higher in a related field.
  • Active licensure as a LAC, LCSW, or LCPC, or higher, is preferred.
  • Behavioral health experience is a plus.
