Role Summary: The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager will oversee the planning, analysis, forecasting, and budgeting activities for the organization’s global operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate and evaluate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on sales, shipments, backlog, departmental profit and loss, and other pertinent metrics.
  • Lead the preparation of reports for executive management, including the Board of Directors, along with monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports.
  • Analyze and clarify variances in financial performance.
  • Engage in the annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasting, monthly updates, and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Conduct trend analysis and performance indicator assessments (KPIs) across various business sectors.
  • Assess historical and current financial performance against budgeted projections and develop models to aid management in understanding the financial implications of business decisions.
  • Propose strategies to help the organization achieve its long-term financial goals and explore acquisition opportunities.
  • Identify and implement enhancements in existing financial and accounting processes, leading improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in semi-annual cost assessments and monthly purchase order variance evaluations.
  • Effectively manage time and resources to fulfill USSC business objectives, ensuring timely project completion.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on all necessary activities to successfully execute projects.
  • Engage in special projects and perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, reporting, and analysis, ideally within a manufacturing context. Experience in a similar industry is also advantageous.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems utilized in manufacturing settings is preferred.
  • Experience in a private equity-owned organization is a plus.
  • Proven ability to organize and manage multiple diverse projects, demonstrating analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, problem-solving, decision-making, and creativity in presenting various options with minimal supervision.
