Job Summary

The International Republican Institute (IRI) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting democracy and advancing freedom worldwide. We are seeking a highly skilled Evaluation and Research Specialist/Senior Specialist to join our team in Washington, DC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and manage thematic and impact evaluations of IRI projects, including developing evaluation methodologies, workplans, and data collection tools.
  • Collaborate with IRI program staff to identify opportunities to apply research to their programming designs, decision-making, and strategic planning.
  • Develop resources and tools that provide evidence-based guidance to IRI program staff and the broader democracy, human rights, and governance community.
  • Support program teams to integrate research and evidence into program design and implementation.
  • Travel as needed for data collection or other evaluation-related purposes.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in political science, international relations, or a related field required; MA preferred.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in the international development sector, preferably with a background in monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning.
  • Experience with outcome and impact evaluations, quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, and data analysis software.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to operate under strict deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
