Senior Director of Revenue Cycle Operations

The Senior Director of Revenue Cycle Operations plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic vision and long-term planning, aligning with organizational goals and best practice performance based on industry standards to ensure profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and lead the activities and functions for the Revenue Cycle department, including front desk operations, financial clearance, registration, coding, revenue integrity, and accounts receivable follow-up.
- Develop and manage operating budgets to meet organizational goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with leadership on process improvement, training, technology innovation, analytics, compliance, and vendor management.
- Manage the development of technology solutions to enhance efficiencies and reduce workflow delays.
- Conduct revenue cycle analysis, trending, and support executive-level reporting and analysis of department performance, including key performance indicators, annual goals, and operational metrics.
- Manage change management initiatives to drive process, metrics, staffing, and employee relations.
- Ensure policies and procedures are current and enforced, business practices are compliant, and patient satisfaction is maintained.
- Serve as a revenue cycle expert and resource to health system leaders and administrators.
- Develop and execute a plan to improve the revenue cycle for professional billing and enhance financial clearance accuracy, coding accuracy, reduce days in AR, increase cash collections, reduce bad debt, eliminate write-offs due to revenue process issues, and improve patient satisfaction.
- Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with state and federal regulations, mandated collection practices, and regulatory agencies.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible management experience in professional billing Revenue Cycle departments.
- Preference given to individuals with prior experience as a Director of Revenue Cycle.
- Experience in large, multi-specialty, academic physician practices and integrated health systems is strongly preferred.
- Epic Professional Billing experience is highly desirable.
