The Nurse Manager is a key member of the healthcare team at HCA Florida JFK Hospital, responsible for organizing and managing patient care functions on an ongoing basis. This role requires a strong leader who can enhance patient outcomes through effective management of human resources, staff education, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, direct, and provide nursing care to patients in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act, physician's orders, recognized nursing techniques, policies, procedures, established standards, and administrative policies.
- Manage human resources, including staff education and development, to ensure a high-performing team.
- Monitor processes for continuous improvement and implement changes to enhance patient outcomes.
- Interact with medical staff to improve patient outcomes and provide excellent customer service.
- Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Minimum 2 years current acute care hospital experience.
- Minimum 1 year experience as a full-time Charge Nurse/Coordinator, Nursing Administrative Supervisor, or Nursing Management.
