Appliance Repair Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Appliance Repair Technician to join our team at Mr. Appliance. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing appliances and other equipment, as well as developing new customers by identifying opportunities to sell additional services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurate Diagnosis and Repair: Accurately diagnose and repair appliances/equipment in the customer's home.
  • Customer Service: Provide cost estimates for repairs/installations and collect payment and/or payment information from customers for work performed.
  • Efficient Use of Materials: Ensure the efficient use of materials and keep company vehicle and equipment properly serviced.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete invoices, daily route sheets, and weekly reports as required.
  • Flexibility: Perform other duties as needed, which may include cross-training in related positions.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Driver's License: Valid Driver's License with a clean record.
  • Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Technology Skills: Proficiency to navigate tablet-based technology.
  • Physical Demands: The ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis, and up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis without assistance, and the physical ability to perform strenuous work under varied circumstances.
  • Work Schedule: Flexible and variable hours (no weekends).
