Job Description

The Industrial Cylinder Refurbishment Specialist primarily works in the outside production area of the AmeriGas Cylinder Exchange facility.

This role involves processing cylinders (20 lb. barbeque grill cylinders), which includes sorting, inspecting, cleaning, painting, labeling, and refilling empty cylinders.

  • Function effectively as a member of a production team

Main responsibilities include:

  • Sort and process cylinders efficiently and safely
  • Maintain a safe working environment at all times, adhering to required PPE protocols
  • Evaluate cylinder quality and ensure consistent processing standards
  • Loading filled cylinders onto trucks for next-day shipments
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking (8-12 hours) and lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day
  • Conduct general housekeeping duties as necessary

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
  • Computer knowledge and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
  • Obtain required state licenses and certifications (forklift operation)

No previous experience is required, but 1-2 years of work experience in manufacturing is preferred.

A High School Diploma or GED is also required.
