Job Overview

POSITION OBJECTIVE

This role involves working the night shift to support the operational activities within the facility. The operator will engage in both plant floor and laboratory tasks, necessitating a foundational understanding of industrial operations and mechanical systems, particularly in environments akin to fuel ethanol production, feed manufacturing, and soy processing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Support the operational processes of ICM Ventures Inc as directed by management.
  2. Utilize a Man-Machine Interface (MMI) system to monitor and control plant operations.
  3. Collect samples from various plant streams to assess operational conditions.
  4. Make critical observations to enhance, troubleshoot, and modify processes and products effectively.
  5. Maintain accurate records of batch production, ingredient consumption, and inventory levels.
  6. Conduct sampling of process streams for analytical purposes.
  7. Communicate operational status with team members, laboratory technicians, and nutrition specialists.
  8. Foster a collaborative environment with operations and other departments.
  9. Engage positively with customers, transport carriers, and the public regarding product transactions.
  10. Document plant records and prepare reports as necessary.
  11. Input operational data into software applications such as Microsoft Excel and Word.
  12. Adhere to all safety regulations set forth by ICM Ventures Inc and OSHA.
  13. Ensure cleanliness and organization of work areas and the plant.
  14. Be open to additional responsibilities that contribute to the growth and success of ICM Ventures Inc.
  15. Ensure the production of safe animal feed while complying with internal policies and the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA).

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Completion of specialized training or vocational education is advantageous.

Experience and Skills:

  • Prior experience in production or plant operations within the ethanol, enzymes, pharmaceutical, or biochemical sectors is preferred.
  • Familiarity with mechanical equipment used in fermentation pilot and production facilities is beneficial.
  • Experience with plant process control systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position requires the ability to work a 12-hour night shift. Candidates may encounter extreme temperatures and humid conditions. Must be capable of handling chemicals safely on-site. The role involves prolonged standing and walking during operational activities. Proficiency in English communication is essential.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The role may necessitate frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
