Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Manager to join our Research and Development team at Bayside Solutions, Inc. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing activities, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing procurement processes to support the development and delivery of our pipeline compound development and clinical programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement and Sourcing: Manage purchase orders, cross-functional collaboration, and lead supplier negotiations to ensure timely identification and procurement of materials.
  • Process Improvement: Support cost reductions and prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information, resulting in measurement reporting and purchasing metrics.
  • Supplier Management: Identify, resolve, and expedite issues to ensure optimal cost and delivery, including KPIs and Scorecards.
  • Business Partnering: Communicate at all levels to ensure proper purchasing and strategies are achieved, supported as requested, and aligned with company objectives.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: 5+ years of professional work experience plus a BS/BA; 3+ years of professional work experience plus an MA/MS or MBA in a corporate environment, preferably in procurement and supplier management.
  • Business Acumen: Strong communication, negotiation, contract management, tact, judgment, and organization experience.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of RFPs and RFQs, experience with procurement/spend systems data and analysis, and proficiency in Excel.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Ability to develop category and sourcing strategies, lead multiple projects and teams simultaneously, and effectively communicate across all levels of the company.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: BS/BA degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Procurement, or Supply Chain Management.
  • Experience: Coupa experience preferred, and experience working with R&D.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and vendor management skills, and ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the company.
