Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Mechanics play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance work, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to meet the needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Production Team to ensure high-quality products and efficient production processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment operation, maintenance, and production systems, and collaborate with the team to implement improvements.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, troubleshoot equipment issues, and execute corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Ensure accurate completion of PM paperwork and computer entries.
- Execute work orders for PMs and corrective actions.
- Perform equipment changeovers and troubleshoot using PLC software with a high degree of competency.
- Read electrical schematics and identify symbols and control circuits with a high degree of competency.
- Review and complete open work orders in a timely manner, updating with part numbers and requisition numbers.
- Maintain cleanliness of blow mold equipment, maintenance shop, and plant facilities.
- Be willing to learn new equipment and adapt to changing situations.
- Participate in training operators on a regular basis.
- Identify and interpret safety data sheets provided by AMCOR.
- Communicate effectively with operators to control issues with machinery.
- Follow established safety rules and guidelines as outlined in the Amcor Safety Commitment and as trained.
- Immediately report any unsafe acts, conditions, or accidents.
- Product Safety: ensure cleanliness and notify any observations that may create a product safety risk to our customers.
- Perform daily duties assigned by the Maintenance Manager or Shift Lead, including attending shift change meetings.
- Complete computer-based training in a timely manner.
- Comply with OSHA regulations.
- Work modified shifts, including 12-hour shifts, days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in industrial maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
