Advanced Spectral Systems Engineer (Expert Level)

Role Summary:

We are seeking an expert-level Systems Engineer specializing in the integration and deployment of spectral analysis tools that form the backbone of a spectral analysis environment utilized by imaging professionals to process, evaluate, and leverage both literal and non-literal data. The selected candidate will be responsible for the engineering and deployment of a spectral analysis environment and its integration within a larger enterprise framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance to stakeholders regarding vision, strategy, planning, requirements, and capability development.
  • Assist in capturing and translating mission and client requirements into system and capability specifications.
  • Support systems integration activities to ensure seamless operation.
  • Engage in planning and analysis to enhance user requirements, architecture traceability, and workflow automation.
  • Contribute to strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk assessment, and interface design.
  • Lead the creation of an integrated environment for spectral analysis, enabling imaging professionals to utilize advanced tools for processing and analyzing diverse datasets.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Imaging Analysis, or a related STEM field, or equivalent experience (4 years without a degree or 2 years with a non-STEM degree).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in integrating sensor programs within complex System of Systems or Service-Oriented Architecture environments.
  • At least 5 years of experience with relevant program/project work.
  • Proven experience in integrating spectral data into analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based technology integration.
  • Strong understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Imaging Analysis, or a related STEM field.
  • INCOSE Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP) certification.
  • Experience with integrating spectral analysis tools within specific architectural frameworks.
  • Knowledge of advanced tools utilized in the field, such as Data Transformation Services and Full Spectrum Tool Kit.
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering processes and tools.
  • Expertise in photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, and related disciplines.
  • Understanding of current enterprise frameworks.
  • Prior experience in relevant program/project work within the industry.
  • Experience with integrating solutions that leverage Automation, Augmentation, and Artificial Intelligence technologies.
