Job Summary:

International Medical Placement, Ltd. is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to join our team at a modern, progressive, and highly respected 113-bed acute care community hospital in upstate New York. The ideal candidate will possess an unrestricted NY Midwife License, be authorized to prescribe and administer drugs in the state of NY, hold BLS certification, and have a Master's Degree or higher from a state-approved midwife program.

Responsibilities:

Provide exceptional patient care in the OB/GYN office setting, including review and exam of patients, management of normal pregnancies, childbirth, and postpartum care.

Perform newborn evaluation and resuscitation, as needed.

Assess and treat a wide variety of problems, including vaginal infections, pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding, pre-term labor, SRM, labor checks, infertility, OB checks, birth control, STDs, condyloma, IUD insertion, endometrial biopsies, pessary fitting and management, and postpartum care.

Requirements:

Unrestricted NY Midwife License.

Authorized to prescribe and administer drugs in the state of NY.

BLS certification.

Master's Degree or higher from a state-approved midwife program.
