Position Overview:

The role involves overseeing and nurturing a portfolio of personal and commercial international clients by advocating for the bank's offerings in alignment with established policies, procedures, and regulatory frameworks. The focus is on driving deposit growth and providing comprehensive client service, alongside managing a diverse loan portfolio. Compliance with the bank's BSA/AML, security, and operational policies is paramount, ensuring that all documentation remains current and complete.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with clients to promote banking solutions through direct interactions, understanding their unique needs and banking preferences.
  • Implement cross-selling initiatives for assigned clients, utilizing data analysis to craft effective sales strategies and achieve targets.
  • Administer cash-secured and investment-secured loans.
  • Conduct daily assessments of client overdraft reports for necessary approvals or denials.
  • Monitor loan accounts to prevent delinquencies and proactively follow up with clients regarding payments and renewals.
  • Deliver financial services tailored to both personal and commercial international requirements, fostering new and existing deposit and loan relationships to meet production objectives.
  • Provide outstanding customer service through various channels, addressing client needs and resolving inquiries promptly while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Regularly contact clients to track significant changes in deposit activity, identifying potential opportunities.
  • Present recommendations for credit lines and loans to the Loan Committee as necessary, ensuring compliance with lending authority for approvals.
  • Manage and authorize commercial and standby letters of credit.
  • Continuously review accounts for compliance with BSA regulations.
  • Implement preventive measures to adhere to current regulations and internal policies related to BSA, the USA Patriot Act, OFAC, and other AML concerns.
  • Negotiate transaction terms with clients, securing upper management approval when required, to enhance client relationships while maximizing profitability.
  • Ensure accurate execution of client instructions to minimize operational errors.
  • Identify and report any potential risks to earnings or capital related to non-compliance with laws, regulations, or internal policies.
  • Participate in training and seminars to stay informed about regulatory changes and industry trends, ensuring compliance with banking operational procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Certification Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in finance or business is preferred; an MBA is advantageous.

Experience Requirements:

5 to 7 years of experience in international banking is required. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is essential.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

Strong understanding of banking products is necessary. Exceptional sales, negotiation, and relationship management skills are required, along with the ability to independently manage large accounts. Assertiveness and leadership capabilities are also essential.
