Role Overview
The Head of Investment Advisors will oversee and guide a team of both Domestic and International Investment Advisors. This position requires collaboration with Regional Managers to ensure effective investment sales coverage and entails direct management of Private Banking client investment relationships, including onboarding new clients and prospecting for potential opportunities. You will be responsible for managing account allocations and establishing annual revenue and net new money (NNM) targets for the team and individual advisors. Close collaboration with product and strategy teams is essential to promote the bank's premier investment solutions and insights.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop strong relationships with clients, articulating HSBC's investment philosophies and offerings in a clear and persuasive manner.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of investment professionals, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Set and communicate performance expectations, providing guidance to junior staff members.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in investment advisory, portfolio management, brokerage, or institutional sales.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a team of Relationship Managers or Investment Counselors, or overseeing a client portfolio.
  • In-depth understanding of the private banking sector, including both onshore and offshore operations, as well as the competitive and regulatory landscape.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Possession of Series 7, 9, 10, and 66 licenses is required.
  • CFA designation is preferred.
