Job Overview

Position Title: Fund Accountant

Role Summary: The Fund Accountant is responsible for overseeing the financial management and reporting of investment portfolios. This position entails the preparation of financial documents, execution of reconciliations, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess robust accounting expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and relevant experience in fund accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate and evaluate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for investment portfolios.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of fund accounts, encompassing cash, investments, and accrued liabilities.
  • Calculate and administer fund valuations, distributions, and performance-related fees.
  • Guarantee compliance with accounting principles, regulatory standards, and internal protocols.
  • Support the preparation of regulatory submissions, tax documentation, and audit materials.
  • Engage with fund managers, auditors, and other relevant parties to resolve accounting and financial reporting challenges.
  • Track fund transactions and ensure precise and prompt recording of all financial activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 2-4 years of experience in fund accounting, investment accounting, or a comparable field.
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems (e.g., Excel, fund accounting platforms).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and industry best practices in fund accounting is advantageous.
