Job Title: Construction Superintendent

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team at Perpetual Labor Sourcing.

Job Summary:

The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for the supervision and management of all aspects of assigned projects from mobilization through punch list and demobilization, including client relations and cost control of general conditions and overall budget of the entire project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage all aspects of assigned projects, including client relations and cost control.
  • Ensure that all construction work performed is of the highest quality and holds weekly meetings regarding 3 week look ahead with sub-contractors.
  • Assist project managers in formulation of construction schedule and maintains adhesion to project timeline.
  • Supervise employees, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure quality control and project compliance.
  • Resolve problems as they arise regarding plans or specifications, conflicts with the architect, engineer, clients and subcontractors and documentation of all corrections, changes and requests.
  • Assist Project Manager with bidding, subcontract scope of work, pricing of owner and subcontractor change orders and verification of costs.
  • Produce and submit the following documents accurately as per the designated timeframe: As Builts-Records updates weekly, RFI's & RFI Logs, Daily Reports-Submitted into ProCore on a daily basis, Incident Reports- Completed and submitted to Safety Manger within 24 hours of injury, Safety Meeting Forms-Completed and submitted to Safety Manager each Monday, Jobsite Photographs (following Construction Photos policy) Minimum three photos per day to be taken. Weekly photos submitted each Monday to Field Coordinator and Strategic Planning Team, Rolling Schedule- Detailed three-week schedule showing all working areas of the jobsite and all trades involved.
  • Ensure that subcontractors are providing own cleanup of trash and debris.
  • Attend regularly scheduled safety training and procedure (Field Team Meeting) meetings.
  • Perform safety management responsibilities, orientations, quarterly meetings, OSHA Standards, Program Components. This includes planning, communication, monitoring, enforcement and documentation.
  • Maintain and post OSHA and Company required safety literature.
  • Document and complete all punch list items in a timely manner.
  • Attend job start up and close out meetings.
  • Assist OSHA inspectors Inspection policy.
  • Maintain Systems and Procedures manual.
  • Track, maintain and secure company owned tools, and rental equipment at all times.
  • Complete Insurance Coordinator's Sub on the Job Report and returns no later than each Monday.
  • Conduct weekly onsite foremen meetings.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5-10 years construction experience working as a Field Superintendent.
  • Knowledgeable in general building and site/civil construction.
  • Knowledge of reading project plans and specifications.
  • Manages difficult customer situations, responds promptly to customer needs, responds to requests for service and assistance, and meets commitments.
  • Experience working on construction projects with available references.
  • Current First Aid/CPR.
  • OSHA 30 hrs. certification.
  • Intermediate level in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Beginning level in ProCore.
  • Experience managing schedules and working with Microsoft Project.
  • Leadership and motivational skills.
  • Reliability, honesty, integrity, adherence to timelines.
  • Construction related degree or equivalent job experience preferred.
