The Department of Veteran Affairs seeks a highly skilled Nurse Anesthetist Advanced Practice Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our anesthesia program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including history and physical examinations, to identify anesthetic considerations.
- Order diagnostic studies, such as laboratory tests and X-rays, as necessary to inform patient care.
- Consult with other healthcare disciplines to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in health promotion and disease prevention activities, including education and shared decision-making.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of our anesthesia program, including participation in VISN and national level efforts.
Requirements:
- Advanced practice nursing degree and certification as a Certified Nurse Anesthetist.
- Experience in anesthesia care and program development.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
